Star Windshield

Wow! Beware of an angry condescending man on the phone. I booked a mobile windshield repair through our insurance, then called Star Windshield to set it up. The man on the line was very rude. He said we should bring it in instead of doing a mobile repair. I stated we were not able to which is why we scheduled mobile. He could not believe we couldn't bring it in. Asked what is wrong with us. Told us we need to take better care of our car. Then hung up. Yikes,

I brought my car in to hopefully fix a "Star" crack in my windshield that was directly in front of my field of view, and a smaller star crack down by the dash before going on a road trip to Colorado the next day. Scott went to work on the windshield and came back to tell me that unfortunately, the low crack was too low to fix due to how close it was to the raised dash and the glass, but that he fixed the "Star" in my view and that he was not going to charge me because he could not make my glass perfect. I was beyond thankful that he could help me with the main issue so quickly, and that was the obstruction in my view. Coincidentally, on my way home (which was all smiles), I received a call from a good friend who lives in Chandler and he was upset that he just took a piece of debris to his windshield on the 10 freeway while coming home from a doctor appointment. I laughed as he asked If I knew someplace where he could get his windshield replaced. Call it what you will, but that moment was pure joy to me to be able to refer him so quickly to Scott, and Star Glass. Fast forward to today.... I was driving down the 202 and took a large rock to the windshield while driving my work truck. I find it funny that rather than get upset, I actually smiled and was happy that it happened. When I got back home, I got on Google to get Scott's number to set an appointment. I see now that they are closed on the weekends, but I know who my first call goes to on Monday. While looking at some of their reviews, I noticed how a couple of people mentioned how they were upset or disappointed as to how they felt after dealing with Star Glass. As a business owner myself, I understand how some days are better than others, and more importantly, you can't make everyone happy all of the time. As much as I try, I am not everyone's cup of tea. What I can say is that I was a nobody when I walked in, and I was treated like family. I am glad to be able to repay their kindness two months later by bringing them my business This is my review. The customer service and communication is not a strong suit for this company. Upon an initial call to schedule service, the process was not well covered or described. We later felt the need to contact our insurance company for clarification. At that time we agreed to have our insurance company handle the cancellation and subsequent appointment through them. When this company was notified, they felt the need to through a hissy fit and call angrily about a cancellation. There was no ill will from us until this point. This was utterly disrespectful, rude and highly unprofessional. We do not need a speech about how long you've been in business, we do not need being told you should have asked questions. No call like this was needed, period. This is beyond reproach, it was vindictive and harassing. I would strongly advise being careful when dealing with this company, but would suggest to stay away. If you have to cancel for any reason, expect to be harassed about it. Terrible customer service.

I was completely satisfied with my entire experience at Star Windshield. I spent a lot of time doing my homework for the best place to bring my new vehicle for a windshield replacement and tinting. From the beginning I was treated with great respect by Rachel, the person answering the phone. She was very well-versed with knowledge beyond what I expected to get from my first encounter. I was able to get an appointment within a few days. The location was clean and professional looking. The staff was very friendly and even helped me with my insurance company. The owner himself, (Scott), was even nice enough to stop and greet me while I waited in the reception area. Most owners don't take the time to interact with customers let alone I in such a nice and pleasant way. I am incredibly satisfied, which is not easy to do as I am a stickler for detail. I highly recommend visiting Star Windshield in Chandler for all of your vehicle's window needs.

Had a cracked windshield and stopped in. They handled the insurance claim at no cost. I got a ford super crew cab truck tinted for FREE! Not just a cheap tint job but a great one with a lifetime guarantee! The cost for the tint alone would have been easily $200-300. The tint job was a great bonus. Rachel in the office was very helpful and understanding of my needs and didn't try to push anything on me. I met with the owner of the shop and he talked with me about his business and showed me what the tint would look like. All if the staff were great. Not only did I get my windshield fixed but I got a great tint job for free. Highly recommend this place. P.s. the tint job wasn't the cheap stuff! I couldn't be any happier. Seriously, if you need a windshield or tint. Hit this place up.

Very customer oriented service. I went there for window tint and found owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. They offered lifetime warranty on tint. After my car finished tinting the way back the tint on back window fell off.. I called owner and he said drove back they can fix it. They did. And the story has not yet finished.. After a week he driver window tint flaked off.. i called them and schedule on Saturday to fix it. The tinting guy help to fix this and NO CHARGE at all! Also they remind me not to use the window for at least three days and mention because it's winter time, the cold temp will make the tint more difficult to bond with window. So far so good. Great service! Definitely recommended!

Scott and Doan were fantastic. I just moved here and was looking for some guidance for a job that requires a lot of windshield time, and Scott delivered with the information that I needed. The install was flawless, they gave me an approximate time and it was spot on. BREAKING NEWS, Arizona is hot, so tint is needed. On top of that, if you are on the road a lot, he will get you was is needed for you with ZERO bias towards tint. Do yourself a favor and use these guys, they are about you, and not the money. I’ll be bringing my other vehicles there and recommending people I know. Thanks again fellas! Brett

Today I stopped by Star Windshield for window tint. I have been doing business with Star Windshield for the last 10 + years. I have had at least 7 windshields replaced as well as several vehicles for window tint. I have had nothing but great service each and every time. I have referred family and friends and each have thanked me for the great service they received. I would encourage anyone desiring good service, great staff and done quickly, call Star Windshield. Rachael is always pleasant and Scott, the owner, is always available to make sure you are satisfied.

Called to get a quote and see what specials they were running for an insurance job. All he wanted to do was set up an appointment without talking to me about anything first. He then rudely told me that if I all I wanted was the most money back and didn't go with him I wouldn't receive good quality from anywhere else and that I "must just not care about quality." I decided to go with Agave Autoglass because they were cordial and polite and treated me with respect. And have better reviews!NegativeProfessionalism

Star Windshield is unbelievable! I have been here three times, two tint jobs and one windshield repair - I will bring ALL of my vehicles here whenever I need to in the future - service is prompt, courteous and I was always kept appraised of how long my wait would be and how much it would cost. Rachel was fantastic in getting everything situated with the insurance company and made the entire process seamless...I would heartily recommend anyone who has any windshield or tint needs to come here! Don’t wait!!!
