Last year, I had a rock hit my windshield and had a chip and crack still capable of being fixed before replacing the windshield. I used my insurance, paid my deductible, and got it fixed. Since this was the first time this has happened to me, I asked if there was any chance of the crack spreading after being fixed. I will add that the front desk staff were friendly. However, they mentioned there was no chance it would spread and crack after that (being in winter time Alaska I was hesitant to believe it but took it for face value). A day later, I woke up to a windshield crack spread through the whole windshield, side to side, and need a full replacement. Safelite local and corporate wasn’t willing to make it right. My main issue here isn’t the staff as I had no problems with them. My main issue was that (1) I was told it wouldn’t crack further (after this, I went to the corporate site and found it states otherwise) and (2) given the short time between fixing and it spreading across the whole windshield, they were not willing to make it right (in my mind, it is suggestive that an improper repair was done if the chance of the crack spreading is low to none, per staff - especially with as quick as the spread occurred after the repair). Now I’ve been stuck with a whole windshield crack the last year because I can’t fix something that was supposed to be a quick and simple repair.

I had a small rock chip, low under the driver's side of the windshield, of my 2013 Lexus GL 350. It's not had a lot of miles put on it yest, so I'm trying really hard to keep it up, and in good shape. Hot and cold in Alaska can cause a chip to become a crack, easily. I actually scheduled, and then had to reschedule a couple days later. That is always a worry. Safelite, Fireweed Lane, Wasilla Alaska, did an excellent job, went ABOVE and beyond, to help fix a side molding on the windshield (which they did not have to do). My son in law put a wide piece of black duct tape on it, Safelite, actually took that off, used adhesive where the hooks were and told me the next windshield repair, if any, the molding could be replaced. He put a piece of purple tape on it, to let the adhesive cure, funny because purple is my favorite color. Just to be safe, beings the car is black, and I keep it clean, I'll have my son in law replace the purple with a wider black. 😊 The people, all of them were very knowledgeable, and friendly. Thanks folks, Happy Holidays season to you!

Was recommended by my insurance, Big Mistake, they installed my windshield with the rubber seal folded up just over the driver seat so that water drips steadily down in a good rain, Now my car smells like mold. They apparently don't have customer service because they don't answer the phone or get back to me on my messages. I see the company is apologizing for the poor service to reviewers who aren't pleased, what a joke to tell people to reach out to the team through the given number, what a joke when they wont even answer or get back to you😂NegativeProfessionalismServicesInstallation, Auto windshield replacement

Install was fast. Dropped off at 8 AM and I got the call saying it was done around 1130 AM. Unfortunately they couldn't be bothered to remove the remaining masking tape from the rear window. It's like they got most of it off, it tore, and they were just like "meh good enough." They also couldn't be bothered to put my rear headrest back where they were when it was dropped off. My truck was also left in their parking lot after hours and completely unlocked. I paid over the phone and told them that the power locks were not working and it needed to be locked manually.

Do not bother trying to call, it is not possible to speak to a human and the a.i. is extremely clunky and unintuitive. It will demand a credit card before moving forward with one of four very limited options, and at no point will a person be available to answer a question about whatever you are signing yourself up for. When shops choose a phone system like this, it shows ever so clearly how their customers time is not only not valued by them, but it shows how little respect for the customer that they have, by not even having the care to answer a basic question.

We have a Volvo that needed a warranty windshield, wanted to have it done local but always concerned about the sensors. Was assured they could. Picked it up to find out they could not. “Sorry”, was their response. Takes a month and a half now for the dealership to look at it. In addition to the mistake they just really didn’t care. “I don’t know what you want, I said sorry. Now you are just running me down.” Just avoid the place if you have an upper end vehicle. They will say what you want to hear to get the business. Lesson learned.

It had been a while since my last windshield repair, but I was blown away by how the technology with Safelite has advanced. The windshield on my 2022 Tacoma was completed in just about 2 hours, from drop-off to pick-up. No unsightly masking tape, no warnings against closing doors with the windows closed. This included a recalibration of Toyota anti-collision and lane departure technology located in the windshield. Pleasant and professional front desk and prompt service added to my satisfaction. And, no leaks! Highly recommended.

Not even 6 full days after install windshield explodes. There was not a car as far as the eye can see. They said looks like an impact can't help you. I just spent 600 dollars getting both my truck and my wife's cars windshield replaced. And it exploded. Got hit in the face with glass and have glass all over my truck and a hole in my windshield. Never should of let this horrible business install a new windshield. While I was here trying to get them to honor the warranty they broke another customers brand new cowling. Great service

Appointment delayed after waiting for 3 weeks because they didn't have my glass. After one week delay, they still didn't have my glass and I drove there for my appointment anyways because no one called me. Used a promo code for my initial appointment, promo code was not transferred to the second appointment, so I would have had to pay an additional 80 dollars. I don't know what happened. I've used them before and they were fine, just expensive. Now I'm sitting in the lobby at speedy glass. Thanks for reading and good luck !

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!! I went here to have a rock chip/small crack fixed on my windshield. When they were finished, the guy walked out and said that he fixed it and that it shouldn’t crack anymore. When I got home I checked the area that he said he fixed and you can tell that there was no resin was applied to the crack. The windshield was even dirty and not attempted to be clean so I know that they didn’t even bother attempting to fix the crack. I will be reporting this to my insurance company as well.
