Things I tolerated: Waiting over a month to get a vehicle back. Taking it back more than once due to damage caused by this company. Disrespecting me and lying to my face. Things I cannot tolerate: Talking to my wife like she's a dumb female who doesn't know about her truck. Blaming others for damage. Refusing to apologize to my wife - and straight up lying to my insurance company about it. How do I know? Wife called me and had me on speakerphone in her pocket, and I recorded it. I have a good mind to share that MP3, while encouraging you to rephrase your nonpology apology. I gave you many chances, and there was not one apology to my wife for that conduct... nor the additional damage really. To be clear, my wife also changes her own oil, tires, brakes. She does far more than I ever did with vehicles. I'm a tech nerd. My message to Gerber, your manager, and this location is... next time you're dealing with a tech guy... be professional while you're screwing your customer or your insurance partners in this case... Also... How did yall manage to get a D+ BBB rating at your corporate HQ? It's pretty hard to accomplish that, but... I guess this is how. I guess I got off easy! No wonder you guys begged us for a positive review when we picked it up... because... you can't take it back. You have a reputation, and it isn't a good one, as a company. I didn't know it at first, but now I know, and I know exactly why too.

Long post – I hit a deer one week after a very eventful, snow and ice storm in January. As a result of many wrecks in my home area, there were no collision repair shops accepting vehicles. Gerber collision in Pelham, Alabama, (which is two hours away from my home) accepted my vehicle to repair. I was updated quite often on the progress of my repairs, which made me feel at ease. (This was the first car I had ever purchased brand new, and I was heartbroken that it now had physical damage.) When I was notified that the repairs were complete and I would be getting my car back, I was dreading having it back because I wanted my new car look. I received my car back and was honestly blown away by the appearance. My vehicle looks like it just rolled off the assembly line! The paint was blended extremely well and the whole vehicle shines bright and beautiful! I was impressed with how the staff kept me updated on the progress of my repairs, but I was totally blown away by the look of their work. I am so excited to have my not so new, but brand new looking car back! If I ever face again the unfortunate event of a vehicle collision I will gladly have it towed two hours, knowing that it will be repaired not only the right way, but beautifully. Kudos to the staff who are very friendly, caring and passionate about their work!!!!!!

My experience with Gerber was nothing short of exceptional. They returned my car in better condition than I could have hoped for—not only repairing the door but also giving it a thorough cleaning, both inside and out, before returning it to me. From the moment I arrived, they took the time to explain everything clearly. When the door part came in, they called me in to look at it and presented all my options. I truly appreciated how they ensured I understood the process and allowed me to make an informed decision, even though I was out of my element. They were so kind and respectful through the entire process. It’s rare to find a business that is so honest and transparent, especially in the automotive industry. The entire process—from the estimate and scheduling to the repair and pickup—was seamless. Any stress I had quickly faded, thanks to their professionalism and attention to detail. I will absolutely be returning to Gerber for any future needs. Thank you to everyone at Gerber for helping. I truly appreciate it.

My car was rear-ended and had to have the trunk, bumper and front bumper replaced. The person who hit me's auto insurance wanted me to use certain repair shops prior hand, I was unfamiliar with this business. Overall was extremely stress-free experience dealing with Gerber's. I especially appreciate their twice weekly calls or text messages informing me as to the status of my car's stage in the body repair processes. That's the first time I have ever had a body shop stay in such close communication with me while they were working on an auto of mine and I was both surprised & pleased with their policy. In the past I have always has to contact the shops for updates. This took away the stress I always feel over "bugging" the shop with phone calls just to see how the progress was going. Staff all highly professional, although I do hope I do not see anyone of them ever again🤣🤞🏼🤞🏼 Easily 5 stars business. Thank you for caring for my champagne baby! She looks better than the day I bought her🙌🏼

I submitted an online inquiry for glass and body repair, and got a fairly quick return call (great!), but was not able to answer the return call. When I called back to the number, my call was answered by some sort of answering service who asked me what I needed. When I described the issue, he said I had reached the glass shop (ok?), and then proceeded to tell me that they did not offer any glass repair in my area (by zip code). He then asked me if I could give him any other zip codes to search by - I gave him the zip code of Gerber Collision and __Glass__ as shown on their website and he again said that they did not do glass repairs and that they had no glass repair service in my area. I have now chosen a different repair shop that answered the phone directly and had me speak with a technician to confirm that they did the sort of work needed and that they worked with my insurance company. I will probably not try Gerber again based on the experience noted above.

They are all so great!! Mrs . Kara, and Mr. Jason went above any expectations I had and I had done business with them a year ago it was even better this time around.... They will definitely help YOU every step! They also send updates 2xs a week. My car was suppose to be done on Friday the 3rd instead they called on Tuesday and it was being washed & ready for me to pick up, they are very knowledgeable on the whole insurance and the rental car and everything else that goes in with that so you do not have to guess you do not have to chase down your insurance person I will always go back to them even if it's not with insurance.. thanks again guys . My car looks so good. I was very surprised and super pleased

Let me just start off by saying considering what my wife and I endured on the night of December 28th, 2023, Gerber made up for in the biggest way. The best part of working with Gerber is the communication between the customer and shop. I did not have to reach out one time. Between the text updates and Tuesday/Thursday weekly update calls, I (the customer) knew what was going on the entire process. Jason, Cara, and Jayme were all awesome to work with too. It’s clear they strive to give a level customer service experience that doesn’t seem to exist in this industry…well I guess it does now. I will no longer be using any other company and will be sending any reference I have to Gerber. Thanks again. -Blake

If you ever find yourself in need of collision repair or body shop work, you oughta go to Gerber Collision & Glass in Pelham. I got rear ended recently and needed a new bumper and they made the process so insanely easy and went so above and beyond to help me at every turn. There is a 0% chance I’ll ever go to anybody else. I live within walking distance of another collision shop but will go to to Gerber over any other shop because of the experience I had with them. They had my car ready in 1 day! I dropped it off yesterday morning and picked it up after work today. Jason is the manager and he will make sure you’re taken care of! Everyone there is so accommodating and kind. So go there!!

Recently, for the second time, I used Gerber Collision and Glass in Pelham Alabama for my Auto body repairs. My entire experience with them was exceptional! Their workmanship was outstanding once again. During the process I received regular messages with updates regarding the repairs. Everyone was kind, very informative and extremely helpful. As before, the repairs were completed ahead of schedule. Their willingness to once again deliver my car to my job, (cleaner than it was beforehand) after the repairs were completed made the process easy and pain free. They even returned my rental car back to Enterprise!! This kind of quality and dedication to customer service is so appreciative!!

Needed a quick fix from a small incident that caused the tire to occasionally come into contact with the fender. Since the incident happened with a friend, and we were ok with a bit of a dent so long as the car drove safely, we just needed to get the fender pulled back away from the tire. Another shop was really vague about what they could do and what it would cost and stopped responding, but we sent a picture here and they gave us an estimated price range and told us to come by when we could. They did it in about 2 minutes and didn't charge us anything. Worked with Austin, and he was great! They'll be our first choice if we're ever in need of a body shop again. Thanks guys!
