Worst in store customer service and attitude I’ve ever dealt with. I hate giving awful reviews, but this was just too much to let slide. While on vacation, a branch fell and cracked my window during a storm through the night. I made an appointment for a replacement through my insurance company, and they sent me to Safelite. Safelite ordered the glass to replace my windshield, 2 weeks later I drop my car off for them to call me 3 hours later to tell me they ordered the wrong glass. Okay, so they didn’t work on my car. Fine. I pick my car and the front desk woman tells me that she’s put the order in for the new glass and will call me to set up an appointment when it comes in. On the way back home I notice that my rear view mirror was taken off, and put back on upside down and not recalibrated with the compass. No big deal, but why was it removed to begin with if they didn’t work on my car? (& maybe it’s my fault, but I left a necklace hanging from the mirror. Just a small sterling chain with a small crystal pendant hanging on it - it wasn’t tied onto the mirror or looped to point of tangled, but it was broken when I got my car back. Not that big of a deal, but why not just tell me that it happened? They even hooked the pendant onto the clasp so it all stayed together.) My windshield wiper arm (not the blade) was also bent/cocked up. I called the number listed for this location, but I was sent to an off site customer service rep, she was very nice and helpful. She asked if I could bring it back to the shop and she’d put down my complaints in my file. I drive a half hour back to the shop, tell the front desk woman that I called, the rundown of the issue, she and one of the men from the back come out to look at it as I’m explaining where and show them the dirt/pollen line from where it actually sits, then they turn and walk inside without another word. Okay? So I sit and wait. A different man comes out to fix the rearview mirror, ends up needing to take it back into the shop. Brings my car back out and the wiper is “back” where it belongs but he assures me that they didn’t even get to the windshield so they couldn’t have touched the wipers. Weird, it was raining when I dropped the car off and they were working just fine. You could even see the dirt/pollen line from where the wiper actually sits. He was nice and actually tried explaining some things to me. I asked if there was any paperwork I needed to have or sign but because they never performed a service for me, there was no paperwork. (I also want to note that I was never given any paper to sign at drop off or pick up either - which is crazy to me.) He tells me that I’ll need to get my windshield replaced by the dealer because they don’t even do them. That’s not what the office lady said but whatever. I’ve already called my insurance company to send them the videos and pictures and to request that they transfer this order directly to the dealership because I don’t ever want to deal with this location again. Throughout all of this, the only apology I received was from the off site customer service representative over the phone. The receptionist woman that took my key fob & came to look at my car didn’t speak another word to me. In my opinion, it was rude and unprofessional. Other than the man that came out to fix the rearview mirror, every one else I spoke to was rude and disregarded any of my concerns. Entrusting this company with my car was the worst decision I could’ve made, though I trusted my insurance company with their recommendation. I’ll be going to the Subaru dealership for their expertise, professionalism, promptness, and general customer care and service from now on.

Usually, I never write reviews, but the experience here was awful. I have USAA and went through them to get 3 chips in my windshield fixed. Safelite had terrible customer service and was unprofessional. My appointment was at 4 PM and my car was not taken to the back 5:30 PM. When I got my car back from the technician, he said that he was not going to charge it against my insurance since I had waited so long for my appointment. It was clear that he rushed my service (since they just wanted to finish up the cars and then leave for the day) and then didn't even want to use my insurance claim because he knew he completely botched my windshield. He cancelled my appointment in their system and didn't give me any documentation upon leaving the site. Photo 1 in the rain: taken 12 Sept after receiving my vehicle back. The original crack was the red circle. You can see in the picture that the crack has grown into the black dots all the way to the top, and slightly down into a J shape. Photo 2 in the daytime: taken 13 September. The crack is now expanding from the J tail into the middle of my windshield. I tried calling Safelite, but their automated phone system kept hanging up on me. I could only get to their customer service through my insurance transferring me. Bottom line, no solution and I now have to pay for a new windshield and Safelite is not held liable for their rushed service which resulted in a gigantic crack in my windshield. Safelite does not care about your vehicle or you. I now have to pay for a windshield replacement out of pocket.

If I could leave less than 1 star I would. My sliding door window was shattered 1 week ago, I called to make an appointment. I was scheduled for exactly 1 week later with an appointment window of 8-12. I scheduled to replace the shattered window & my windshield. I was told that was the earliest availability. That same day I went to the Montgomery site to have my window sealed. About 1.5 hours into the appointment window the technician called to inform me that they are unable to replace my window & since they cannot replace my window they cannot replace my windshield either. I asked why I was just now informed of this, he apologized & said he was just informed that morning himself. The technician was very kind & professional. However, this should have been caught well before the day of the appointment that was a WEEK out. It also should not have been the technician that should’ve called to inform me of the issue, it should have been someone that handled the appointments or management. The technician stated he would have management follow-up to try to resolve the issue. The technician called back to follow-up & let me know that the managers were in a meeting until 12, but I should hear from someone after that. Needless to say, no one from management even took the time to call & discuss the error & inconvenience this has caused for me. I have 4 children & have now been riding around with a taped window for a week now & have no way to get it fixed at the moment.

Two months ago I paid them $173. I had a 1/4 inch stone chip. Stupid me, I brought the *chip* to them to prevent it from getting worse. I was afraid of neglecting it and having cracks develop and spreading to the point where I would eventually have to replace the whole windshield. When I went there on Saturday morning, the technician brought the car back with 3 cracks seen in the picture. 4 inches, 6 inches and 8 inches. I made sure to capture the Safelite vans in the background. Technician said that when he put the clamp on it, the glass was just about ready to break or some 4th world idiotic statement like that. I cannot understand why he would put something heavy on the windshield to make it worse. Then they wanted me to replace the whole windshield which would cost me a $500 deductible. There is a term for this: Moral hazard. When you benefit from your own mistake - in this case turning a $173 job into a $2000 job. Emailed them about it. Never got a refund. No good business can operate like this. You must pay for your own mistakes if you have any integrity. So in the end, I instead of waiting to see what might happen with the 1/4" crack, I rushed to pay $173 Safelite to instantly turn the crack into an instant windshield replacement that will me $500 more since I am not going back there. I am going with another glass company. They are unbelievable and pathetic ...

They failed to inform me the repair was only going to be a basic filler that would leave visible evidence of the cracked glass. My previous experiences with glass repair has been by plugging the broken area because it wasn’t pierced all the way through to the second glass. whereas all my previous rock breakage experiences were made with a circular cutter made on the surface, filled with a filler and plugged with a similar piece of glass, leaving very little evidence that it was broken not easily visible. I believe I should’ve been told prior to the work being performed. I know this situation requires slightly sensitive attention but when done you can’t see it easily this is not something I was surprised not to be given prior information would happen. I’m not happy at this particular time and probably makes very little difference about even though my insurance company only paid to repair not patch. It very much may effect my continued use with my Insurance company and I will report my dissatisfaction as such. Such disinformation is not uncommon in today’s business world of cheap is always free so whatever answer to the following questions are given. It probably has no effect on other answers. Sorry that I have to give an unsatisfactory review However I can’t believe it’s unexpected by your Business. With Regret Mr A.J.

Had my brand new 2025 HummerEV windshield replaced and luckily I had another place put ExoShield on it and was told the front vent panels that safelite had to take off to replace my windshield were not only scratched but then they painted over the scratches to hide the damage. Also getting the paint they used on the paint of my car. I thought safelite was a windshield repair company not a paint shop so I can almost guarantee it's not the first time they have done this. I would not take my car here EVER and tell your insurance to send you to another shop as they are untrustworthy. I wouldn't have mind if they told me they made a mistake we all do but to damage my property then hide it. That's another level. Oh and the kicker here.. the panels are only 38 dollars a piece so instead of being a trustworthy and reputable company you hide issues that are less than 100 dollars to replace. Updated to say.. they are taking full ownership of their mistake & are replacing/repairing which is all I can ask for.

Had an appointment to have window chips repaired. During the appointment the tech Gary was nice, however once he got to the second chip on my window which wasn’t even one I wanted done, the glass cracked and he said that I would be responsible as it was stated that glass may break during repair. He called his company and put in a work order that he had cracked the glass (basically taking responsibility). I asked him who was responsible for that he then instructed me that I would have to file a claim thru my insurance to have it replaced. I was furious as this was not my fault and the glass wasn’t cracked before the repairs started. I told him if I knew this I would’ve never let them do it. Long story short i called my insurance and that indeed is the policy. Sounds like a rip off to me. So if the window is fine with just a few chips, my recommendation is to leave it as is and do not let Safelite attempt to repair anything…

I recently had the pleasure of working with Gary to repair a crack in my windshield, and I couldn't be more impressed with the service. From the moment he arrived, Gary was professional, friendly, and efficient. He took the time to explain the repair process and made sure I was comfortable with everything before getting started. Gary worked quickly and skillfully, and the results were outstanding. The crack was seamlessly repaired, and I could hardly tell it was ever there. He also ensured that my vehicle was properly cleaned up before finishing the job, which was a nice touch. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with the service Gary provided. His expertise and attention to detail made a potentially stressful situation easy and hassle-free. I highly recommend Gary for anyone needing windshield repairs – he’s top-notch! THANKS GARY!

The glass and install seem good. I have no noise or issues. I rate this a 2 STAR mainly because my vehicle was left messy a the end of the install, including black silicone caulk on my leather seats. For the price I expect clean up and wiping off hand prints. I called 4 times to get the black silicone off of my seats. The first 2 calls resulted in a guaranteed clean up appointment that never happened and the second 2 calls finally made it to the manager and after 5 days, my seat was cleaned up. The product is good, but the service was very bad, especially the 1-800 customer service and the local employee who dropped the ball on my first appointment. There ARE other windshield services in the area and I will look there next time.ServicesAuto windshield replacementPrice assessmentReasonable price

Worst experience and customer service I have had in a while. First off my wife went in for an appointment the windshield that was ordered was scratched. We were informed 1hr after we left that they would have to reschedule for another week out to get a new windshield in and installed due to the new window being scratched. Finally got the window installed after waiting a week and now 1 day after install the whole seal around the left side of her window on her Lexus is coming up. This has been a headache and very unpleasant experience. Sterling a technician there was very helpful and nice but that’s it. The manager doesn’t come from his back office to address customer concerns. Very disappointed with the customer service and workmanship of this place considering their brand reputation.
